Fabulous Crocheted Runner Panels in a Pretty Iris Pattern

I picked these up in an antique store in a small town in Northeast Nebraska.  They were sewn onto each end of a linen runner.  The linen was paper thin and beyond help but the crocheted ends, albeit filthy, were worth trying to save.  They cleaned up beautifully.  They were hand crocheted with a small cotton thread and are as strong now as the day they were made.  From top to bottom they measure 13 and from side to side they measure 15.5.  They are as white and nice as the day they were made.  They could be made into a runner again but I also see a whole host of other craft projects where these would be fabulous.  Sold as a pair.

Hand washed, air dried and pressed.  Excellent condition.   c. 1900 30s
