This is one of 3 pairs of antique gloves I bought from an elderly lady down the street. Her husband died a few years back and she was selling off everything he’d inherited from his mother and grandmother. These are hand crocheted with a tiny linen thread. The lower part of the glove is done in a sturdy net pattern and from the wrist up is Irish crochet with intricate cabbage roses. These were made for a small hand (as are most antique gloves as they were just simply smaller people). If you do have a small hand, as old as they are, they are still sturdy enough for wear and would be stunning for a wedding.
Carefully hand cleaned, air dried and reshaped. Bright white with not so much as one broken or weak thread. These are truly an amazing pair which have stood the test of time and can now give us a glimpse into the romantic past. c 1910
