These are pure 1950’s, a time when no decent woman left the house without gloves. They are the typical silky polyester and are embroidered with a very pretty Madeira style pattern. I have looked at the embroidery on these under a magnifying glass and can’t tell whether they are hand embroidered or machine done but I would guess it is machine. Although they look white in the pictures, they are actually a beautiful light crème. There are no tags to state the size but I wear a 6.5 and these fit me perfectly with even a little wiggle room (and they’re actually very comfortable to wear, by the way). They show very, very little use and are some of the prettiest gloves I’ve come across in a long while.
Carefully hand cleaned and air dried. c. 1950
