Fancy Crocheted Baby Bonnet with Hundreds of Bullion Knots

This little charmer must have taken great skill and a lot of time to bring into being.  Hand crocheted with small white thread, it has hundreds of bullion knots incorporated into the pattern – more than I’ve ever seen and much longer as well.  The trim is pink organdy woven in around the brim, fashioned into bows and then dropped to make up the ties.  It measures 16” around the brim and 12” around the neck.  There is not a flaw or weak spot to be found.  Well above the norm in both quality and style.  One that has been passed down through generations and will continue to do so for many more.

Hand washed, air dried and pressed.  Excellent condition.   c. 1900 – 30
