This breathtaking piece came to me so discolored I thought under all the grime I’d find ecru thread! Oh, was I surprised when it came out a sparkling white. Measuring a whopping 29” x 19”, it is hand crocheted if a filet pattern of cherubs. The tiny thread makes it intricate and dainty. So masterfully done I suspect it could very well be English. Lays perfectly flat and displays like a dream. A perfect accent for the Victorian home.
Carefully hand cleaned and air dried and pressed with light starch. c. 1900 - 20
