Frilly, dainty and as fashionable today as the day it was made. The very fine linen center is framed with a triple row of teensy weensy tatting - I wish you could see it in person - such teeny linen thread to make such a tiny lace. It is then encircled with a soft, silk net which flares to make loose ruffle. The netting is hemmed with another single row of more tiny tatting. This has two very minor flaws - a single break on one thread of the linen and another single break in the net but neither detracts in any way from the overall beauty of it as a whole. It measures 11" square. The perfect "something old" for the bride on her very special day.
Hand laundered, air dried and pressed. Excellent condition as described c. early 1900’s
