A cheerful pair of kitchen towels one sporting a chicken, the other a rooster. These were made by appliquéing black and white gingham for the bodies and finishing them with absolutely perfect hand embroidery. They measure 37.5” x 35” and are made of cotton. As they were never used and carefully stored away for the past 60 – 70 years I am selling them just as I found them. They have no stains or odors whatsoever and are a beautiful buttermilk color. Though I doubt they were ever white (most were made from unbleached or half-bleached cotton) they have no doubt yellowed a little bit. You can proudly display them “as is”, or if your plan is to use them, a trip through the wash machine is all they’ll need. Perfect for the country kitchen… Heck! Perfect for ANY kitchen!
