Made around 1950, this hand crocheted baby sweater is made in the same style worn by babies in Victorian times. The pattern was first released around 1880-90 and then "re-released" in a pattern book in 1950. I know this one was made in the 50's as I saw the "baby" it was made for and she is now about 60 years old. For this life of me I can't imagine how she could stand there and watch it be auctioned off. The sweater closes at the top with a ribbon tie and coordinating ribbon flowers are nestled in the nook of each "V" around the hem. Will fit Infants to 6 months. Imaculate condition and ready for baby.
