A heavenly long length of antique broiderie anglese in an extremely dainty floral pattern. A generous 9" width and as bright as the day it was made makes this piece an excellent candidate for a whole array of vintage sewing or crafting projects. The only flaw is a small hole about 13" in from the edge - easily darned and high enough from the embroidery that you could sew below it and avoid it altogether. This lace came from an 88 year old woman who told me it had come from her mother (who would be 133 years old). Made of a fine, whispy cotton batiste, it measures 78" x 9.5".
Hand laundered, air dried and pressed c. 1900-20 unused, excellent condition as described
