A classic antique dress for the Victorian or Edwardian toddler. Made of a fine batiste, this darling creation is embellished with some of the tiniest tatting I've ever seen! A single row trims the neck and sleeves, a double row frames the center banel and bodice and a triple staggered row finishes the hem. The 5" gathered ruffle around the bottom makes it happy and airy and still leaves room for baby learning to walk. It was obviously worn only for special occasions as the damage is mimimal (see pics). The absence of a button or button hole to close makes me wonder if it was even worn at all! Bright white with no stains whatsoever. Plenty sturdy enough to put on your resident princess for a trip to the photographer. Measurements are as follows:
Shoulder to Shoulder: 12" Underarm to underarm: 15" Length (Shoulder to hem) 26"
Hand laundered, air dried and pressed c. 1900-20 excellent condition with consideration for its age
