This vintage creme linen tablecloth is a true showstopper! It is perfectly hand embroidered with rows of bold thistles framed in grey and the edges finished with a 3.75" ecru hand crocheted lace. It measures 74" x 59" including the lace. Believe it or not, this was finished and put in a cedar trunk unused where it stayed for almost 60 years (as were many of the things I bought from this estate). Incredible. Even unused, it still had a flaw where a thread broke during the weaving process. I simply put in a couple of stitches to keep it from developing into anything and it is almost impossible to find. It has a refined look and yet somehow manages to be delicate at the same time. You'll want to diplay this one every chance you get!
