A perfect example of runners which came in kit form in the 40's and 50's. This one is made on a medium weight fabric and hand embroidered with lswags of lavender and gold flowers. The pretty scalloped edge is finished with a graceful hand crocheted lace in a shell pattern. It measures 37" x 14.5" and is as nice as the day it was made. I don't believe it was ever used but, if it was, it was very minimal. The whites are white. The colors are bright. Perfect for the period decorated home.
