A full set of 12 unused hand crocheted nut cups in a fancy basket pattern. Folks, these were a tremendous amount of work to make and to find them unused ... wow! These had yellowed just a tiny bit so I gave them an overnight soak and they came out fabulous. I've left them unsugared as they're quite stiff with out it but you can certainly sugar them yourself if you want them true to how they would have presented them to guests (directions below). They measure just over an inch tall and 2" wide. fun, Fun, Fun to set at each tablesetting when entertaining! Sold as a set of 12.
Laundered to bright white! c. 1950 excellent, unused condition
To sugar these bring equal parts water and sugar to a boil (it must boil or it dry sticky). When it cools saturate the nut cups (I recommend you do one at a time) and wring out as much liquid as you can. Shape by inserting a shot glass in the center and pulling the base out and the basket upwards. Set on waxed paper and remove the shot glass. Let dry. The drying time will be at least 24 hours. You can continue to manipulate as needed until fully dry. Viola! They'll be gorgeous!!
