Vintage Lipstick towel – hand embroidered – delightful!! An “oh so fun!” lipstick towel, hand embroidered with a Scottish terrier.  Lipstick towels were made between 1925 – 1965 and were used for lipstick blotting.  So as not to leave stains they were always made from red fabric.  This one measures 12” x 8.5” and is linen with cotton embroidery.  The hem is machine finished an a little lax in one corner (top right – see pics).  I don’t believe it was ever used.   Freshly laundered, blocked and pressed.  Excellent condition       Price: $18.00 Sold  Send This Page to A Friend!
