One of the nicest damask tea cloths I’ve ever offered. Made of a crisp, heavy linen damask (probably double damask) it is woven in a basket pattern with chrysanthemums… a favorite of the Irish and versions of it have been around for centuries. The ample hem is hand stitched and finished with a crisp row of drawnwork as most high quality tea cloths of this era were. I see no indication it was ever used and it’s as nice as the day it was made. This is the perfect accent if you absolutely have to have the best! Measures 36.25” x 35.75”.
c. 1880 – 1920’s Freshly laundered and pressed. Excellent condition
