This breathtakingly beautiful vintage bedspread was hand crocheted by a true master. A star pattern surrounds each rose and is emphasized with a popcorn stitch. Simply incredible. It looks to make been made with about a #10 cotton bedspread thread. After cleaning a piece this size I often find dozens of “ends” which have wiggled loose but in this case I found a whopping total of 3 which took me only minutes to fix with a crochet hook. I found NO broken or weak threads and NO stains or goofs by the maker. It measures 112” x 107” and would fit either a king or queen sized bed. Before packaging it weighs 7.6 lbs! That, my friends, is a lot of crocheting.
It was carefully hand cleaned and air dried. The white is white. The colors are bright. I only wish you could see it in person. This one is painfully hard for me to sell but, as it doesn’t match any of my bedrooms, I offer it to you. May you give it a good home and love it and admire it as much as I do. Lastly, may you remember and admire the woman who made it. She had the talent and dedication which few others had.
I thank you for looking and, as always, if you have any questions or need additional pictures, just ask! I’ll be more than happy to oblige.
