This little cutie is made of a linen batiste fabric and framed with a buttery yellow cotton. Each corner is hand embroidered in pastels. The edge is finished with a French Valenciennes lace woven in a delightful clover pattern. My mother (age 84 and still going strong) took one look at it and said it was made for a taking baby out for a walk in the baby carriage. It is in exceptional condition for its age with only one small hole (pictured) which won’t show put over a white pillow form. It measures 16” x 12.25” (not including the lace). Because I’m fresh out of rectangular pillow forms, I have it pictured fluffed up with a genuine JC Penney Bath towel. Of course it will be more rounded and prettier with an actual pillow inserted.
It was carefully hand cleaned, air dried and pressed with light starch. There is no yellowing or stains of any kind. Use it for baby’s boudoir or your own. Either way it will be gorgeous!
