When you see this pattern you know its old. It always reminded me of poinsettias but nobody else seemed to agree and in all of the antique crochet books I have, I could never find a name for it. Recently I found it in an antique Women's catalog. It's a spider pattern which makes perfect sense as woman of that era always added a spider for good luck. This lace probably once graced the hem of a petticoat or a single bed sheet and is still in mint condition. It measures 2 wide and 42 long.
Laundered to bright white. 100% usable. excellent condition
