Linen Irish Crocheted Medallions in a Rose Pattern Unused!

These pretty little linen crocheted medallions come from Ireland.  There are 6 in total.  Each measures about 2.5” across.  They came with a mix of various other patterns which were all unused.  During the Irish potato famine, crocheting became a cottage industry with each family making a certain design.  They would be collected and taken to a central location where they would be worked into various pieces such as bonnets, gloves, purses, corset covers and jackets.  They are each sold separately and, again, I have six available.

Hand washed, air dried and pressed.  Excellent condition   c. pre 1920
