#TB031626B 42" Madeira Embroidered Tablecloth in Rare Dove Grey - Unused!

Oh my goodness… where to begin!  This beautiful tablecloth comes from Madeira, an island off the coast of Portugal.  They were considered the benchmark for all linens dating from the early part of the century until the late 60’s.  Although I’ve seen hundreds, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a grey one… and I absolutely love it!  The detailed white embroidery against the dove grey linen absolutely pops!  An added bonus is you can use white napkins and they'll pop as well.  It measures 42” square.  This came with the label still sewn to the corner.  However, I removed it and put it on the counter and it must have got brushed onto the floor.  Before I had even realized it, a monster ate it (see pics) and it is no more.  If you purchase the tablecloth, I may enclose the culprit who destroyed the tag.  Hmmmm….

Hand washed, air dried and pressed.  Excellent condition   c. 1940– 60’s
