Vintage Childs Mush Plate made by The Salem China Company

This precious dish was made about 1945 by the Salem China Company, located in Salem, Ohio.  The transfer print in the center shows a curly headed child feeding her teddy bear.  The pattern is called “Danish Princess”.  Originally, this would have come with a silver plated fork and spoon (not the silverware depicted in the photographs).  There is a tiny bit of wear in the gold lettering and a bit of crazing which is typical for a piece of this age.  It measures roughly 9” x 7.5” and is about 1.5” deep.  There are no cracks or chips whatsoever.  Absolutely darling and one of the nicest I’ve ever run across.  Silverware is not included.

Excellent condition.   c. 1945
